Festival Pwani is a four-day route, not a single field. It opens in the city — Afro-Latin socials, a fashion night, a hall that closes at midnight — and then it moves. The beach stage at Nungwi runs Friday to Sunday, with taarab at dusk and a sound system after. Two thousand five hundred people on the sand, and that is the cap.
Passes
- Full pass is both. Wristband on in Dar, same wristband on the beach.
- Dar opening does not get you onto the beach.
- Nungwi weekend does not include Thursday, a banda, or the ferry.
- A banda sleeps two and is booked separately. It sells out before the passes do.
- The Friday shuttle leaves Upanga at 07:00 and includes the boat. Miss it and you are buying your own crossing.
Under 12s are free and still need a ticket, with a named adult on the same order.
